Superdrive clicking

I hear a click from my superdrive every time I pick up my MBP. Is it the SMS? it sounds like a motor stopping but that could jut be me

Is the drive running when you're picking the computer up?

do you hear it from the superdrive or the hard drive? The sudden motion sensor may indeed be stopping your hard drive (don't know that I have ever noticed it myself) - or are you saying it's coming from the optical drive bay?
