Okay, I bought a new Macbook, and I also bought Toast....

When I tried to burn my first CD, this error came up and I could not burn my disc:

Is this a Superdrive Problem? I tried disk permission repair and disk repair, but to no avail.....

Tried burning to a DVD this time, worked fine, up to the end....

Should I go to the Genius Bar and find out what's wrong?

Are you moving your Macbook while you are burning? I do get this message if I bump or move the MPB while burning a DVD.

No, I did not move my macbook at all....

I did a diagnostics, and said there was no problem....

So, I should talk to the genius and find out what's going on....

Sense errors are usually bad media - try the previous suggestions burning files from the finder or disc utility.

I had nothing but problems with Toast 9 and went back to Toast 8......

What brand of media are you using ?

Call Applecare and they'll walk you through resetting PRAM etc

I had a problem with my iMac's Superdrive where it wouldn't let me burn a DVD. Spoke to a v helpful guy who had me try various things and it started working and haven't had a problem since.

try using disk utility or finder or itunes to burn some items to the same medium and a different type of discs.

toast can be rather particular with some media it seems, in my experience atleast

Why fix a new computer when the store will replace it if you take it back. Don't brother fixing it take it back they will take care of you.

Your discs could be the issue. Try different discs.

I've had that error because and a difference brand solved the issues.
