Superdrive not working help!!

So it works in Windows 7, and Mac startup where you can choose which OS to boot, AND it works in OS X until the top right menu loads. Then it stops.
So perhaps it's drivers...

But where might they be, and are they repairable?

Neither under Hardware > USB or Hardware > Disc Burning.
It's plugged in, but won't accept disks =(
