90 days for the free tech support from Apple (unless you get AppleCare - then 3 years). If you live close to an Apple store, you can take it into the genius bar any time. They'll be able to take your computer on Saturday. Just bring a CD/DVD that consistently fails to read so that you can demonstrate the problem. That's all you should need. You won't get it back the same day, so the sooner you bring it in, the better, especially if you can get it in before the weekend.jesusphreak said:Bump. The genius scoped out my MacBook, told me that it definitely wasn't working as it should and then said that they would replace it. Unfortunately they didn't have any units in stock, so he told me that it would be quicker if I called the Apple Store and they would ship me a new one. It is after-hours so hopefully I'll be able to call tommorrow and get a new unit headed my way.
I was very impressed by how they more or less did everything they could to satifsy their customers.
You might have a bad drive as well. If you can, take it in with a few discs and show a "Genius" the problem.
