Superdrive Region

Hi there,

Does anyone know whether after changing DVD region 5 times on a Superdrive that it's the drive itself that is locked to that region or your Mac just won't change region? I have a mix of region 1 and 2 DVDs that I'm getting back into, and I wondered if having a second Superdrive is a way to have them set as region one and two separately to get around the issue.
