SuperDrive With USB-A

Hi Everybody and happy Friday. The Apple SuperDrive (A1379) has a USB-A connector and my MBP 2015 A1398) has USB 3 ports. Do I need an adaptor? I bought them both used recently and haven’t plugged them in together yet.
 
The external SuperDrive's USB-A connector is compatible with both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0. The MacBook Pro you mentioned should have A-type USB 3.0 ports, so you won't need any additional adapters.
