I like the Incredible Hulk. He's an equal opportunity @$$ kicker. He doesn't care if you're a good guy or a bad guy; just piss him off and he'll open up a can of whoop a-- on you.:cool:

I've never liked Superman much. He can match speed with the Flash, strength and toughness with the Hulk. Yet his intelligence doesn't scale up. They guy's nigh invulnerable yet time and time again he's nearly beaten by a guy with NO super powers only to come out on top because he's practically invincible. It's like Shaq playing a 1-on-1 with a 5 year old. You expect Shaq to squash the kid, not win via a buzzer beater.

I had to vote other because of characters like Wolverine and the X-Men in general. When I was big into collecting comics there were ones that went straight into the plastic bags and there were ones that just had to be read each month. The X-Men and Wolverine books always had to be read. I think superhero movies in general are doing pretty well though. I remember back in the early 80's when me and my buddies used to say "man I wish they would make a real big screen movie of ...." Now we are actually getting these movies. I know purist will get upset if all the exact details aren't correct, but come on. You can't sum up the years of history some of these characters have in one hour & a half movie. In general I'm pretty excited and have been pleased with what is being put out there.

Aqua man?

no.. wait... the dude Wonder Twin...

He always managed to turn into something almost completely useless...

Cartoon Network has also made several commercials parodying the Super Friends. One such commercial made fun of the ineffectiveness of Zan's powers wherein he says "I could get beaten by a sponge... it wouldn't even have to be an evil sponge!"

Definitely more of a Marvel fan than DC when I was into comics. It's a tough call between Captain America, Hawkeye, and Scarlet Witch. Probably have to go with ol' winghead.

Emma Frost, Jean Grey, Batwoman and Karolina Chase (Lucy in the Sky from Runaways)

my girlfriend's favorites;

Powergirl, The Wasp, and The Enchantress (Marvel).

Daredevil. I loved all the old Frank Miller Daredevil comics. Too bad the movie sucked.
You took the words right out of my mouth. I was very disappointed that the movie wasn't better since DD has always my favorite superhero comic. Maybe my being color blind make me sympathetic to a blind superhero, but I don't think that's it. I just like the character, his circumstances and friends, and the collection of bad guys he fights.

I have to say Batman, because his strengths are based mostly on technology, not fake powers. This means, as a child, it was a lot more realistic to strive to be like Batman than a superhero with magical powers.

But in reality, it was much cooler to admire the Jedi. :)

Green Arrow

Because he's the only person capable of making Clark in Smallville ever get the balls to become superman.

He's being wining about lana for 8 years now when he could have being boning chloe all along and then start dating lois once he started at the daily planet, like "superman" is supposed to!

I'm totally glad "Aquaman" never made it as a series, it would have made Smallville much more boring if Clark had no male friends apart from Jimmy Olsen around and loads of "Alpha" females analysing his every move.

I wonder if I meant "Superman" all along but none of the films or series have done him justice yet?

I mean, the Christian Bale Batman is excellent but they'll never manage a series out of it because the films have set the standard too high, remember "The Flash" with Dawson's dad in it? That was terrible now I think about it.

Superman for me ! - Awesome hero. I am currently watching lois and clark the new adventures of super man.

And of course can't forget Jack Bauer!

I actually enjoyed the Ironman comics. I read few comics, and got excited about few superheroes, but Ironman was something that I followed.

And today, for the life of me, I can't remember a single thing about him :(

From the three above, I would choose Batman. My favorite, however, is the original Mirage Studios Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but not the cheesy ones from Archie comics or the cartoon series.

Mine: Jack Bauer... he's gone through so much he's no doubt a superhero but maybe i'm biased because i'm watching 24 :p

I know I posted already in here, but is it too late to nominate Barney?
