Emailed them about it and got the following response.

Don’t be a wiseguy, read the message and read the response. Don’t use every opportunity there is to raise your pirate flag.

Some vendors do this and personally I hate it. I would avoid using it and specially paying for the software if they block JB devices. But in this case they just block you from getting support.

I must say it makes some kind of sense. Blocking JB devices is of course silly, but I can understand that they don't want their support team to spend time solving problems that may be caused by us tinkering with the phone.
