I'd go either 16GB or 32Gb and Cellular. GPS maps do eat up space so the 32GB would be the safest bet for me. I guess that would be the "Better" option.

Depending on some other upcoming issues. In other words, would I be willing to spend this much. I would consider a 16GB Cellular capable model as gifts for a couple people.

Unknown yet what prices would be.

8GB not large enough for apps and possible storage of a couple movies for road trips.

16 gb since i have an ipad3, a google nexus n7, a mac air etc. i'm mainly getting the rear cam.

2015?

I will special order mine with 1.5TB. Built in Thru-The-Display Scanner, 18.3 MP camera with 10x optical zoom and 2160x1440 video. Oh, and waterproof as well!

:) :) :) :) :) :)

I always go big, so 64g for me. But I really don't see myself getting a mini. I have the new ipad and iphone so I feel well covered.

16GB for me with cellular. I won't be putting any of my music on it but want the extra space for apps. I'll be using this as my phone as well with VOIP. :D:

8GB. I don't download very many apps, and even with my old iPad, I mainly used it for surfing the web. I have always been fine with 8GB phones, so I don't see this being any different. It depends on the price. I definitely won't spend over 350 for a mini of ANY size, too much IMO. If they end up being that much, ill just get a used iPad.

Many are thinking that this is going to be a secondary iPad but I'm in the camp that believes that once people start using a more portable device then they will end up using the Mini MORE than the larger one. So Im surprised at so many 8GB. I can see how it is usable if you dont plan on using any apps, but why would anyone want to limit their possibilities like that? To save $100?

I agree! I even think that next time I get a new iPad I will go mini (depending on specs and big iPad specs though, or as soon as the mini went retina).

I still use my 2 and I haven't felt the need to upgrade. I'll see how this mini is and maybe buy the 8GB (assuming that it would even exist) and just not put music on it. But I have no problem with the size of the iPads outs now so I doubt I'll get one soon. If anything, I'll upgrade to the 3 later.

I'm thinking 64.

I can't see myself using an iPhone much for apps and video if I had an ultra-portable iPad to carry around.

May as well load the iPad up, and downgrade to a cheaper, simpler phone.

8GB for my mum possibly for christmas (she'd mainly use it for books and puzzle apps like sudoku), 16/32 for me if I can muster the cash.

That said, I doubt apple will release an 8GB version.

8 GB for me. No need to watch movies on this little screen when most have larger desktops. And yes, there will be an 8 Gb version to compete with the other offerings. ;)
