I find this doesn't really work all that well with a lot of my Android phones. They still need to be charged daily.

Guess it depends on the Android device. The Moto X has great standby battery life.

I can well believe that. My Moto G has great standby battery life, too (almost one week standby with very, very minimal use). Unfortunately, the same could not be said for the Nexus S, Galaxy S, Galaxy Nexus, Xperia M, etc.

I know. Battery life is one of the major reasons I haven't made the switch to Android (at least prior to getting locked in due to iMessage and FaceTime ).

What if I go outside with my phone in my pocket? Does that have a negative impact on battery life?

If this catches on Apple will start selling special iTables to put your phone on, only $399 for the three-leg model, $499 for the four-leg!

But not all android phones. Moto G has great standby battery life for a smartphone.

Yes, I know. Granted, my Moto G (CDMA) doesn't quite last as long as yours.
