Surface of mouse sticky, what to do??

I've lightly dampened a paper towel with a little soap and rinsed it the soap off with a lightly dampened paper towel but still the surface of my Mighty Mouse is sticky. I used Clorox Wipes and I think that made it worse. BTW, I do wash my hands before using it. 🙂 I suppose the solution is to use more soap but I am afraid of using more soap would break it. How do you all clean your mouse, or for that matter your keyboard?

I read keyboards are actually pretty resilient to wetness, just need it to air dry and you're back in business. What about our Mighty mice?
