Thanks. I will give it a try before I head in there tomorrow.

June 20th the i5 models should arrive in stores.

They're probably just targeting certain models for mass production that would be the most likely candidates for sale. I'd say the $999 and $1,299 models are my most desirable models.Have the ship times always been so far out or has that recently changed? Everything but the i5 models don't ship until August 31? Either demand has been overwelming (sorry but I doubt it) or someone didn't plan this launch out very well.
By then, the Broadwell CPUs maybe just around the corner.

If you check on the Surface website it says that demo models for the stores will arrive on June 6th.Went to the Microsoft store and they wont have them in store until June.
I asked about any competitor trade ins (ipad, samsung tablets) and they said they are not doing that at this time.
I was disappointed they wouldnt have one ready for display if they are really pushing it and want early success.
I'm taking the plunge. I've been hemming and hawing over it since the media event. The more I looked into it, the more I liked it.
Now, I'll have to wait a month before getting my hands on it.

Trying to keep costs down but dont want to minimize performance for a couple years or however long I plan to utilize it.
I can get the 10% student discount
Hopefully get at least $200 or so trade in or sale value for my 4th gen ipad
Id go with the i5 128gb model.
Still pretty pricey for not a must have but will definitely make my life easier at work as my iPad is really limiting my productivity with the things I need to do in meetings, travel, etc.
I'm taking the plunge.
http://www.wpcentral.com/surface-pro-3-processors-detailedI'm waiting until WWDC is over, and would really prefer to get the i7 model for work, but it doesn't ship until August. Travel with the Surface Pro 3 instead of my Lenovo T430s and iPad mini would seem like a decent compromise.
I still want to know specifically what processor is in these machines.

You could sell the ipad for more than that, I know I would beat a $200 offer
I thought so too.
Waiting to hear on some tips on how to do it because I cant seem to find any.![]()
I'm quite torn since everything else I own is a Mac or is iOS-based. But I'm on this massive simplify-my-life kick and somehow I'm feeling this will help... One device to fill all rolls kind of a thing. SP3 + dock + nice monitor for my desk at home + another dock & nice monitor for desk at work...
If eligible, don't forget educational pricing on Microsoft products. I had purchased it through bestbuy before realizing I could save 10% through Microsoft directly.
Yeah, I think 8GB is a must for most folks. I wonder what's loaded onto the computer though the 32bit flavor of windows or the x64?It's also worth noting that only the 256GB i5 model will ship with 8 GB of RAM which is a must for me.
