I actually bought an i5/256GB/8GB Surface book.
..I love that thing!
I'm actually prepared to switch to Windows after being an Apple-only user for years.
Windows 10 has improved tremendously on the Surfaces, and it's been bug free for me. The monopoly Apple has had on good trackpads is pretty much over, and Microsoft actually copied the gestures (like 3 finger swipe between desktops), which is great.
I'm so disappointed the iPad Pro hasn't taken off with Professional level apps. I've waited since launch for something like Staffpad, but all we've been given are apps that feel like toys in comparison. There's no excuse.
The interesting take away for me from the events was - Microsoft actually made the Surface Book base thicker by adding a better dGPU and increasing the battery life.
Apple focused on making theirs thinner....
That says it all to me.
Bye Apple!
