Only to be held back by a garbage catalog of shovelwares, where you only play it to kill time... but on the living room with this...

I'll wait until I see the price tags.

For the price of the last round of quick launch MFI controllers I would want them to work as controllers on Windows/Mac as well. I'm not buying a 100 dollar controller for it to only work on iOS.

Which is where a AppleTV game console will likely fail. The prices showing up for MFI game pads a far in excess for what the current game console market will take. Especially for what will be perceived as "toy" games in the early stages.

Its why I deeply question Apple's judgment with the MFI controller program to begin with. The PS4 DualShock 4 remains probably the best controllers for price/technology at 60 dollars, and it will work with any Windows/Mac given the right drivers, including the Touchpad for actual mouse support.

All of the MFI controllers out so far, are far more costly for far less functionality.

While it would nice, and is probably inevitable, I would like Apple to sort out the primary function of the ATV - video. There is a total lack of useful channels - especially outside of the US. So I really hope they sort this out. Maybe a future app store will do this but they seem to be playing it very conservatively to me - holding back hardware/software because of content restrictions in the US. The iTunes store is available in countries across the planet, there are 6.5+ billion people outside the US and I'm pretty sure most of them watch TV. So sort this out!

I would also like them to improve the picture and sound quality on the store, to bring it closer to blu-ray. 1080p, especially in dark scenes, really isn't that great. And what about higher quality sound. DD is 1990s technology. They also have an opportunity to really be at the forefront of 4K context delivery but I'm pretty sure Google/Amazon are also thinking this too...

Every year its apple tv app store or apple tv gaming.

I'll believe it when i see it.

[rolls eyes]

Oh boy, the superior games police have arrived and are declaring their exclusive list of games that are worthy of playing and enjoying, so we know any joy we experience playing games not on the list is just an illusion for we inferior types.

Couldn't agree more. The biggest omission in the UK is the iPlayer - seems so utterly strange, along with a lack of C4 and ITV.

Only thing i know, is i don't play enough of ....

Although looking incredibly silly, i can see the point. Things are easier by control pad, however, you have a Touch screen right there...
