Hi guys, I know there have been a lot of posts and threads about this but I just wanted to add a survey and get a general concensis.

What will you buy within the next few months?

If there is NO iPhone 5 (bigger screen etc.), what will you get?

iPhone 4s
Android based handset
WP7 based handset (including Nokia ones which will be out hopefully in the next few months)
Others
Neither??

Mainly interested in seeing how many people will not buy an iPhone if there is no iPhone 5.

Going wp7 unless next iphone is a major upgrade in terms of software
iOS is stale and relies on it's app ecosystem too much. Android is too buggy.

WP7s only problem IMO is mediocre hardware.

Only a masochist or an iPhone 3GS and lower-owner would get the iPhone 4S.

I don't care what the name is. I really don't care what the specific design is either. I care about what features are or are not added to the next model whatever the name. What I want to see is LTE and a 4" screen.... 64GB model would be a big plus.

This group seems to get too caught up in what the name is ... as if you took the same exact phone and called it a "4S" they wouldn't buy it, but call the same phone a "5" and they will.

The software that wil be on the next phone is well known at this point so you should be able to decide now what you want to do and it sounds like you have already decided on WP7.

When i say iPhone 5 i mean a phone that includes all what's rumored....

Larger screen
Teardrop shape
Thinner
Long center button
A5 processor
1GB RAM
etc
etc....

I have an upgrade, so I'll use it. In other words, if the new iPhone is a marginal upgrade, I rather throw only $100 at an Inspire than $300 for a barely beefier iPhone.

Apple knows that if it doesn't have a redesigned iPhone 5, most people are going straight for the Nexus Prime.

Stickin' with my 4. It'll kill me to miss a launch day though. One of the few things I always look forward to, like a kid at Christmas. And Im 43.

If there was more WP7 selection on Verizon I would lean there but I will be getting whichever "new" iPhone they announce.

Not the only but it is 95% of the problem.

I should have clarified. The only issue that would keep me from going wp7.

I'll be moving from a 3GS to Android if the new phone doesn't do away with the fragile glass construction.

Wow, so far almost 40% people would jump ships to android???
Didn't think it would be that high a number....

I can't even believe all the people who are switching to android because of that. What the hell is wrong with your iPhone 4?

Yeah, i was really expected a whole lotta "Neither"s.
But Seems like iPhone 4s will still sell even if Apple doesn't come out with iPhone 5.

I'm confident the new iPhone will sell like hotcakes no matter what it is. As far as the WP7 phones there should be new ones released any time.

Quite possibly a Nexus Prime on Verizon because of 4G/LTE.

I'm really happy with my iPhone 4...but feel like it could use a bigger screen and 4G/LTE. Oh and the Antenna design sucks (I've had an iPhone 4 on AT&T and Verizon and without a case I drop calls on both; with a case on my Verizon iPhone 4 I get very few dropped calls).

If there is no "iPhone 5" then I will still be debating between an iPhone or Android (I really want a bigger screen, but interoperability with my iPad is just so alluring). All I know for sure is that I won't get a WP7 device. Not after the experience of Microsoft just abandoning us long time WinMo users.
