Nexus Prime or Samsung Galaxy S2. Oh wait a minute, I was never going to get that antiquated iOS 5 device anyway!:)

I would stick with my iPhone 4 but damn, that Samsung Galaxy SII is looking pretty sexy

Wow, so far almost 40% people would jump ships to android???
Didn't think it would be that high a number....

Keep in mind that you're looking at a very distinct segment of the overall iPhone user population. People here tend to know a lot more about tech in general and have very set opinions on things. This isn't necessarily representative of the overall population.

Except that it's NOT a tech thing. It's visual. The general population with see big bright 4.5"+ screen phones and cool redesigns instead of the same old 3.5" screen iPhone 4 / 4s design. That has impact.

I put other for the reason that I will most likely get the iPhone 4S (because I'm upgrading from a non-iPhone, but I'll also get a Windows Phone handset and flip between the two when I feel like it.

I've been really impressed with the UI of WP7 recently, and seeing as Mango has been released, that makes it even better. So probably WP7, if I can find decent hardware to go along with it.

I don't want to leave iOS and the iPhone, but if Apple stubbornly sticks with that damn 3.5" screen again, I'm moving on, even if Apple won't.

I updated my htc trophy to mango this week. My wife has an iphone 4 and it's a great phone, but mango is extremely impressive. The only areas I feel the iphone have an advantage over a WP7 on mango are display, camera, battery life and apps. Mango isn't perfect but it is incredibly fast and smooth. I can't wait to see how the next generation of phones perform.

If there is not a bigger screen, I'll try out the Galaxy S II. If I don't like it I'll just return it and get the 4S instead.

When i say iPhone 5 i mean a phone that includes all what's rumored....

Larger screen
Teardrop shape
Thinner
Long center button
A5 processor
1GB RAM
etc
etc....

really?! A "Long centre button" is a significant enough feature to warrant on the list of others to sway your buying decision, really?!?? What does this long button actually accomplish? I cannot see, with current information, how this is beneficial to the average user - unless its a Accessbility feature.

No, it's not, at least not for me, but I mentioned it in there just to signify a substantial change.
Just one of the things that came to mind at that time.

A lot of people are in this boat, and have the same feeling.

But the Survey result is now strongly suggesting that people are going to go with the 4s or stick to the current model.

Some loyal Apple fans here!

I'm looking to move FROM Android to iOS, but if this new phone does not have a minimum of 4" screen and LTE, I'll wait until the next version and see if it comes then. If not then then I will likely never get an iphone. My Droid X has been nice for all the customization and tweaks I can do to it, but the bugginess and lag and are about to drive me crazy. For instance, last night I couldn't get into the Android Market because somehow, inexplicably, my Google account had been replaced with my youtube account and it didn't like it. Had go in to setting and delete some stuff out, remove the youtube account and reboot just to get into the Market. That's ridiculous! If I had doubts, that was the last straw for me. BUT, if I can't get at least a 4" screen and LTE, I'm willing to wait one more cycle.
