I want to know if this setup is good for music listening and watching movies? This setup will be in my bedroom which is fairly small. It’s about 18x12 feet.

I have a pair of original Apple HomePods in stereo mode and plan on adding a subwoofer to my setup. Thinking about getting the sealed SVS SB-3000. Do you guys think it would sound nice.

How do you add a subwoofer to HomePods? Old AirPort Express?
Belkin Soundform is what I'm using or an old airport express will work as well. As long as it supports Airplay 2. But i highly recommend the former. Once apple phases out support for the airport express in future versions of iOS, macOS etc, then you won't be able to configure it and use it anymore. The Belkin Soundform requires no app to setup. Currently using my old subwoofer with my Apple Homepods and it sounds so much more complete now with the lower bass frequencies being felt and heard when watching movies and listening to music.

All you need is a Y Cable that has a pair of RCA's on one end going to a single 3.5mm jack. And you would connect the RCA's into your subwoofer's input and the 3.5mm side into the Belkin Soundform or airport express and then use the built in LPF and HPF, Phase, etc settings on the back of your subwoofer to find tune everything.

What do you plug the sub into since there are no ports on HomePods?
It is a 2.4 ghz wireless subwoofer (Klipsch) paired to my Denton S-760s (Airplay2) AVR.

if I do not want any sound in the living room/home theater, I just unplug the satellite speakers, but usually I just turn the volume down, and the master volume on the subwoofer up a little bit and it's a good balance. ✌️
