SW-BOX customs fee?

I dont know if this is right section to post it in but I recently ordered some stuff form sw-box.com and recieved it in timely manner and today I recived a letter/bill from UPS asking me to pay $6 for customs. I never received anything like this before, did anyone else get this before?

it happens sometimes usually a overseas shipper includes it in the shipping cost. I'm in the U.S. I have had lots of stuff shipped from Canada and Asia but I usually go USPS haven't been hit yet. but I know people that have.
 
I'm guessing you used their expedited shipping? If so, I've heard this happen before. I normally use their snail mail shipping (which can take up to a month sometimes) but you don't get any import fees or anything.

Yup it was expedited shipping..i guess thats why they charge you "broker fee"
 
The duty fee is just 22 cents, and the $6.50 is UPS ripping you off like they always do.
 
After some research it seems that this is common with UPS but FEDEX or USPS doesn't do that.
 
My USPS order just came. No customs fee or anything, but they did wrap it in so much tape that I had to tear the box to shreds just to get to what I bought.
 
Lol. Lp, I'm a jeweler, and I just received my sw-box bumper order today via USPS, no customs fee(s) and they packaged it like they should my loose diamonds!!!!!! Took me 10 mins to open.

Same thing happened to me, They pack very well! No question about that. When I received my package there was no customs or anything and a week letter UPS sent me the invoice.
 
Might want to censor out the tracking #. A quick call to 1-800-742-5877 might reveal your shipping address.

Thanks for heads up!! The address is my hotel address so not much of big deal but def will keep in mind
 
I've gotten stuff from SW-Box before and never gotten any bills from customs. But I just placed an order a few days so we'll see (it's probably been 10+ months since I had another order).

Was it a huge order or small? My stuff from them usually comes in 5"x5"x5" box with $8-$25 of stuff. Lately they've been charging a lot more for shipping (it seems like).
