So I currently have a 13" White Macbook, 2.16 Ghz Core 2 Duo (bought it in July 2007). I've upgraded it so it now has 4 GB Ram and a 500 GB Hard Drive.

I've been toying with the idea of buying a 13" or 15" Macbook Pro. If I do that, and buy one with the minimum hard drive and ram specs, can I just swap in the hard drive and ram from my current Macbook?

Harddrive possible.
Ram NO WAY

big difference. new MBP uses the 1066MHz and you use a 667MHz.

So Hard drive yes, and Ram no.

Ah, alrighty. That's what I figured, but I just thought I'd double check.

Thank you!
