I bought my daughter an Ipod Touch 2nd Gen. for christmas, but she likes the 1st Gen better. We each have our Itunes to different computers.

How can i "swap" contents without losing songs/or information.

is everything you both want on your "new" ipods on your own itunes? If so you should be able to just switch you iPods and plug into your own itunes computer and update the current library.

Backup both ipods on your respective computers. Swap ipods, connect your "new" ipod to your computer, and right click on it (or whatever its equivalent on the Mac is) in iTunes, select "restore from backup," and pick the backup you just made.
