I've got a newish Macbook Pro 5,2 with 2 X 2 GB of DDR3 1067mhz RAM. Would that RAM work in my slightly older iMac 8,1 which currently has 2 X 1GB DDR2 800mhz RAM?

I'm hoping to upgrade the RAM on my Macbook Pro to 8GB, but only if I can find a good use for my existing RAM.

Cheers

No you can't exchange DDR2 and DDR3. They are physically and electronically different.
