How do i go back and forward in Finder, while browsing folders? (iMac/Magic Mouse)

I can swipe back and forward in Chrome but not while browsing folder?
If mouse dont work, and keyboard commands ?

(New at OS X)

The gesture also works in Finder you're using three finger swipe instead of the default two.

Or:

Cmd + [
Cmd + ]
 
Where is the ] buttons ?

I have the small keyboard, and as i said Magic mouse.

three-finger swipe did not work in folders, are you sure this isnt only for the trackpad?

Ah....misread...yeah, I was referring to the trackpad. No clue about the mouse.

[ and ] or { and } are to right of the P
 
As i said, i have the magic mouse, not the trackpad!

But i found it out anyway

Might as well revive this decade old thread, as it is pretty much to my point.

After some searching, it seems there is no way to achieve this; navigating a Finder window in list view, back and forth, with one-finger-swipe on magic mouse, like you can in any browser or app with pages like a pdf.

Better Touch Tool might do it, if they fixed it, but I can't buy and install that just for this one function.

I think this should be a simple option in Finder or Mouse settings.
