Not sure if this is new in 3.1 or not. But on my list of emails or texts (or any list really), if you swipe across the list item (left to right or vice versa) the Red Delete button comes up. Not sure if I am just noticing this now or if this was in 3.0. This is opposed to hitting the "Edit" button and then hitting delete. Anyone?

I'm pretty sure its been there since 2.0, or at least as long as I can remember.

Actually, since 1.0 for emails since it was the only way to do so. Later you could delete emails in bulk by selecting them then pressing delete button. You could always swipe to delete an SMS thread, but not each message. I'm not upgrading to 3.1 so not sure if you can delete an individual message or not. :)
