Has anyone seen this an an option (similar to what email has) in the betas? I'm still using a 11.2.6 on my SE and refuse to update because of that update after 11.3.

Thanks in advance!

Confused on your thread. Are you asking if there is a popup confirmation to delete a message thread in iOS 12 beta?

I want the option to NOT have to confirm deletion like they’ve done for email. Just swipe and hit delete, like the good ol’ days. I’m staying on 11.2.6 on my SE to avoid this. Just hopeful they make it an option. That’s my question for the beta users. Thanks again.

There is still no option as far as I can tell.

I honestly can’t understand the mentality behind not upgrading because of a single additional step required to do something that surely isn’t performed very frequently. hopefully Apple add an option for you.

I delete tens and sometimes hundreds of texts of day in my work. Keep it as clean as can be, like my email inbox. I don't understand why they would add a second step to deleting texts, so you're essentially doing it twice.

Damn now I understand.

But the reason why is that it was quite easy to accidentally swipe and delete a years’ long conversation that contained lots of messages you wanted to keep. Doesn’t mean they couldn’t make the confirmation and option though.

Here's hoping they change it in iOS 13 like they did with force closing apps in the app switcher. I don't expect them to change it in iOS 12.
