Swiping down reboot

Lately my Apple Watch has issues swiping down to see a notification on the main screen and I am required to reboot. Strange when it acts like this I am able to swipe down in the app screen to see apps so this may not be a hardware fault. I have had this issue for some time but it acts up twice on me recently. Why?

try unpairing, and re-pairing the watch from your phone, Make sure to backup first, and restore that after you're re-paired, If you still have issues, try again, but without the restore, and you'll have to set it up again.

Did it again after I did what you said yesterday and I am rebooting.
