Swiss Gear Maxxum Laptop Backpack

Seems like it would accommodate the 15.4 MBP on its own, however, will it fit my MBP into its notebook compartment with it in my maccase sleeve?

Well, I just bought the SYNERGY model from CompUSA not too long ago and it's able to fit my MBP while in its Incase sleeve. I'm sure it'll fit.
My only gripe with the backpack is that the compartment where your laptop goes does not go up all the way to top of the backpack. My MBP is sitting about 1/6th out of the compartment so the while the bottom half is very well protected the top half is somewhat exposed so that's why I use a sleeve to provide a little more protection.

Thanks! I was thinking of the synergy, but it went up like 15-20 bucks since yesterday. What is the difference between synergy and maxxum?

Well I would recommend you look at Amazon where they are priced at $54.99 and $56.06 respectively for the MAXXUM and SYNERGY. They're fairly similar although the SYNERGY is evidently 1lb. heavier. These bags are a tad on the heavy side in comparison to other backpacks. The only difference I can tell between the two is that the SYNERGY has more pockets. I mean this thing has pockets up the wazoo and that's why I went for it over the MAXXUM. A great backpack in my opinion.

It seems like I too saw the synergy for around 56, but it has since changed. Foe me, it is showing up as 67. If I went through buy.com I could use GC, and get the maxxum for 45. Just wondering if the extra money would be worth it for the synergy for some reason.

Well that's odd. At $45 that's a great buy and I'm sure you'll be happy with the MAXXUM.

Now I am unable to decide between teh Synergy and the Maxxum. I think I prefer the Synergy since it's not so flashy. Any thoughts? Are they both pretty much the same? Both comfortable and such...?
