What do you guys think about this case. It looks pretty good, but I am questioning the durability of the case. Does it hold well to drops? Thanks

I have the white/gray one. It's one of my favorite cases, as it is very slim, fits very snugly, and the buttons are easy to press. Plays just fine with screen protectors too. I will say, though, that the gray part will eventually pick up a little blue tint if you keep your phone in your jeans. Can't say about drop protection, as I've never dropped my phone while it was in this case. Seems like it would offer some protection at least, but most of the case is made out of a hard material that doesn't seem like it would absorb drops well, if at all.

Here's a couple of photos on my phone:

I have to say my experience with other switcheasy cases has been below average. While I have not used an eclipse, I do feel the need to comment on the switcheasy cases I have used, reviewed, and given away. They were not made as durable as an otterbox in my opinion. The one that I used regularly (the odyssey) broke in two places within 6 months. I am not trying to steer you away from your purchase, just merely letting you know a little about my previous experience. Lol.

My experience hasn't been satisfactory. Tiny specks got into the case and scratched a bit of my iPhone's antenna. Along these lines, as the above poster stated, the case has a rubbery part that has recently become detached on the right side.

I've been looking to replace it but haven't found anything suitable yet.

Thanks, I guess I'll steer clear the . I have an otterbox impact that works great, and has withstanded some big drops, I guess I'll keep it.

I love my switch easy colors. Seems like a pretty superior case/company. And the charge port/earphone jack covers/protectors are awesome. My charge port practically looks brand new. The eclipse looks nice though. Maybe I'll check it out when I'm looking for my next case.

I get nothing but compliments on my case, and people asking where I got it. Two of my friends even got the switch easy colors. I have the white case on my white 4s. It looks like a white chocolate bar.

Can't speak for the other comments, but my black Switcheasy Capsule Rebel, and the Trim that my sister has, have been more than satisfactory. My CR got me through my hedonistic social life during my senior year at a major party school, and I only just replaced it about a year to the day that I got it. Not because it broke, but because I wanted a change. My sister likes her blue Trim. It did become discolored (greenish from oils and pocket lint, it seems). My other sister also got a purple CR that is still alive and well. My CR survived numerous drops on concrete and asphalt, and has even protected my phone from numerous spilt drinks. Of course it has several scars on the surface around the corners, but that is to be expected with any plastic case hitting concrete with force. Furthermore, you don't have to worry about flabby silicone like on an Otterbox Commuter. The soft plastic is much stiffer and holds its shape better.

The hybrid designs such as the Odyssey, Eclipse, and CRs are not meant to be taken on and off. It will damage them over time. The Trim stands up much better to such treatment. If you were to somehow break the case, I've only heard good things about their customer support. They would likely send a replacement.

I love switcheasy. They have some of the prettiest cases on the market imo. When I get my new iPhone, prolly gonna get switcheasy. BUT, not too sure about durability. I don't really buy cases for durability since I'm very careful with my phones. But I've heard otterbox cases are very durable. Here's a link to their site: www.otterbox.com I think Speck has very durable covers too, but too bulky for my taste. www.speckproducts.com

I'm surprised the eclipse doesn't get more attention. I really like mine. The fit is perfect and it is compact and thin. I have not dropped my phone but I think it would provide reasonable protection. I have been using it for about 9 months and it still looks like new.

I like the Speck ones! They got some simple, but nice designs too. And they are durable, have served me very well so far.
