Switch off Cellular greyed out

Hi guys,

How do I switch off cellular data in my settings? It is greyed out, I don't have a SIM card installed but I'm getting annoyed at the "No SIM" message up the top left and would prefer it to display "iPad" instead.

Help please?

Only thing I can think of is airplane mode and it will display an airplane instead of no sim

Just pop a pay as you go sim in then the option becomes available.
