Switched my desktop mail client to IMAP, now iPhone can't connect

    So I've been happily checking e-mail on my iPhone via IMAP since I got it last week. I had been checking mail in Mail.app on my Mac using POP, but I decided to switch to IMAP today and now my iPhone can't connect.

    The error message I get on my iPhone is...

    Cannot Get Mail
    The connection to the server "..." failed.

    Any ideas?

    Mine did that, you have a setting wrong google the email you have, and get the settings ..also if it gmail make sure imap is checked.

    Try deleting your IMAP account from your phone and then creating it again.

    I have tried that, actually. I've also tried resetting my phone.
