Switching between open applications, your method?

cmd-tab and cmd-~ between windows of a single app. I'm amazed at how many everyday Windows users don't know about cmd-tab to switch between programs.

Cmd-Tab and the Dock are my usual ways, but then, that shows my use of Windows too, doesn't it? 😀

It works well for me and it's always quick. The Dock stays on top so I never worry about it being covered. Exposé? What's that? The only time I use it is to reveal something on the desktop.

I use Apple-Tab. I've never used Expose. It never got into my workflow.

Since I got my Mighty Mouse, I've been using the side-buttons to expose all windows, and then I just click on the application I want to use. It's very convenient!

I switch between open apps from the Dock, as my first choice. Second choice is just clicking on the app window if one is visible. I rarely if ever use F9.

If I am switching between two apps, I use the middle button on my MS optical mouse. Very fast.

F10 is very useful in Photoshop. I use the F10 quite a few times.

With Cmd-Tab, I tend to press it just once and then use the mouse to move to the app I want (so much more user friendly than the Windows equivalent - I keep trying to do this at work to no effect 😡 )

Same here! I have too many apps open to keep Cmd-Tabbing, using the mouse with it is much quicker.

I only ever use Expose to Show Desktop, F9 and F10 are useless to me, as I deal mostly with text files (programming), and all text windows look much the same in Expose. I can't really use Expose F9 or F10 unless I have the option to:

- show the titles of all windows, not just the one under the mouse.
- display windows consistently, not in a random manner every time you press the button dependent on which application you're in.
- group the windows by application (ideally in a "stack")

Two chances of that.. slim and none.. 😉

i have my scroll ball button / logitech scrollwheel button as my exposé activator. its very easy to switch between programs.
