I just put in an exchange from a 512gb 16 pro in black to a 512gb 16 plus in black.

i was getting my wifes 14 pro max ready to send back to ATT and was suprised how manageable it was to use. One handed not much of a problem.
I could see the screen much better and type easier. With my eyes at 50 not what they used to the larger screen helps.

16 pro: 1. 5x zoom ( don't care)
2. 120 hz ( don't care)
3. 18 pro chip ( dont game)
cons: 1. smaller screen
2. Weight for a smaller phone
3. Less battery life

16 plus: 1. Bigger screen
2. Better battery life
3. Weight for big phone
cons: 1. no 5x zoom ( dont care)
2. No 120hz ( dont care)
3. Worse gpu ( dont care)

Anyone else older having the same issue, and if you went with a bigger screen why?

And the pro max is too big at 6.9. one handed is a no ho here. 6.7 inch barely.

Should i or shouldn’t i Go through with it?

Same doubt here, but I care about 120hz since I use a lot the phone for web browsing and I have right now a 13pro, hence already used to the higher refresh rate.
For me the best choise would be the Pro Max model, although it is too heavy and in Spain very expansive as well (360€ more expensive than 16+ and 250€ than 16P).
I tend to prefer bigger screen even because the small keyboard makes me doing more typos while writing.

With me money isnt an issue here. I cannot tell the difference between the 120hz display and 60 hz display. Zero. I also use it for work and web browsing and the larger screen is better for that. The pro max 16 6.9 too heavy and too big. The reg 16 plus 6.7 is as light as the 16 pro with a bigger screen, with bettery battery life.

First time i will be getting a non pro model since the 11 pro. The 16 is so good this year there isnt much difference between the two. Thisnis the first year i can remember the 16 sales are up over the pro models.

Might as s well g see t used to it now sinceci plan on upgrading to the iphone 17 air next year.

anyone still with the 16 plus? I was on the max but its so heavy compared to 16 pro or plus, my doctor recommended something lighted due to trigger finger arthritis disorder.. thinking the 16 plus but not sure if it will be slower than the 16 pro?

I would get the Pro for the better hardware and smaller easier to carry around device, then increase the font size on the Pro so that everything is easy to read/see. I have a 15 Plus and I'm getting tired of lugging around such a big phone, barely fits in some of my pants pockets.

Edit: I just realized this was an older topic and the TC already made a decision.

The Pro Max isn’t really bigger than Plus…
Btw the Plus still is a viable option if you need a big screen

Seriously? A few grams can’t make any difference

I got the Plus. And actually it does in one hand use. It's a thinner and lighter device, same weight as the normal Pro at 199 grams. This allows the Plus to easily be used one handed. The weight distribution is better in the hand. Hard to explain. My wife has a 16 Pro Mac and that is a little bigger but more so it's much heavier in the hand.

Pro is smaller but feels subjectively heavier compared to plus model to me
May be shape / weight distribution ?

If you can manage the Plus single handed, you can do the same with the Pro Max. Thinner ? The difference is literally 0.5 mm … c’mon
The only reason to get the Plus is the price… but with a 60 Hz display it is hardly justified.

I think it’s the weight being distributed over a larger surface. I have a 15 Plus and my wife has the 15 Pro. Even though my Plus is heavier in weight it actually feels lighter than the Pro when holding it.

how's it been working out for people who made the switch?

Im Still not regretting 16 pro -> 16 plus path even well past return policy.

Is the 16 plus noticeably lighter or easier to hold with fingers? Considering it bit afraid if it’s too laggy compared to pro?

Just bought 16 plus, selling my old 14 pro regular, took me few hours to adjust to 60Hz screen, but man how light it is vs pro line, that is awesome, and colors for regular 16s are cool!
