Switching from 5 to 6 (How to)

Decided i'm gonna make the jump to the 6+ from my 6. I'm giving my brother the 6. He currently has a 5. Does he have to go to verizon and have them active the phone with a new sim? whats the easiest way to do this? i heard the 5 and 6 sim are not the same.

Hmm. I used my iPhone 5 sim in my new Verizon iPhone 6 and it worked just fine.

Both the iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 use the same nano sim. I have a 6+ and came from an iPhone 5, same sim. Here's a link for clarification. https://support.apple.com/en-us/ht5554

I went from a 5 to a 6 and all I did was pull the sim from the 5 and put it in the 6. Worked just fine as they are the same.

That was my experience also. Should be totally fine.

I brought a sim card from my 5c to my 6 plus, no problems at all, with ATT
