I've decided that I'm jumping back to AT&T from T-Mobile prepaid next month. There are still just too many spots where I have no service or only one bar where it's difficult to do anything. It's not a huge problem but frustrating at times. I know I won't have these issues with AT&T.

Now do I go with AT&T themselves or try Straight Talk or Cricket? That's the question.

I'd try Cricket. Prices and plans seem reasonable.

Yeah I might do that. The only thing is they charge an activation fee of like $20-$30. No big deal but they are the only prepaid company to do that. Straight Talk doesn't.

So it's $30 a month on Cricket(taxes and fees included) with unlimited talk, text and 1gb of data vs. $45 a month plus a few dollars in taxes and fees on Straight Talk with unlimited talk, text and 3gb's of data.

I rarely go over 1gb so that's not a big deal. Plus Cricket caps you at 8mbps down while Straight Talk doesn't I don't believe.

You need to update your info. Cricket doesn't charge activation. Give you a free phone (after rebate) and its $35 for 2.5 Gb of LTE.

I had unlimited ATT. Moved to T-Mobile to pay ETFs. Moved to cricket because indoor reception sucked.

$45 gets you 5GB At CRICKET FYI

Sounds like Cricket is the way to go. I switched from AT&T to T-Mobile back in September when I got my iPhone 6+. At first, I was very impressed with Wi-Fi calling, which sounded crystal clear, particularly when talking to my GF who is now also on T-Mobile.

Unfortunately, over the past few months here in Las Vegas I've been getting a lot of complaints from parties on the line who say they can't hear me, due to frequent dropouts. I also have experienced a lot more dropped calls on T-Mobile than I ever did on AT&T. And as everyone has pointed out, reception inside buildings is disastrous, like when I try to access a site inside Smith's (Krogers) or Home Depot.

Has anyone seen an improvement in call quality when using T-Mobile's own router? I currently use a TimeCapsule to connect to the net. :)

i remember when T-Mbole sold unlimited data for a really good price. Should've switched then, but I'm just going to stick with att

I went into a Cricket store the other day and asked them how much to get started and they said one month service, $10 for a sim card and either $20 to $30 for an activation fee. The total was in the $60 something to $70 something range. I can't remember the exact total.
