i set my wife up on iChat. we were able to chat. all was well. then all of sudden our IMs wouldn't go through.

i noticed that she now is now in jabber, while i'm in iChat. i can't figure out how to get her out of jabber and on to iChat. restarted computer.... nothing works.

thanks.

I think Jabber is STILL compatible with iChat. Its just that Jabber is a multi-client protocol. (Jabber and iChat are different accounts)

iChat uses the Jabber or AIM networks, as well as Bonjour. Click the iChat menu, then scroll to Accounts to see which are connected or disconnected.

You can't send messages from a Jabber account to an AIM account or vice versa. Both services are free, so I have an account on each and keep them both signed in. That way I can talk to friends who use either network.
