I was wondering since Mac OS 10.2.2 likes to bring up the colourful spinny wheel for one program (meaning it has crashed), then I switch to another program, which then also crashes, and the chain continues. Is it possible to switch from Mac OS X's interface to the black terminal (Like in Unix/Linux when you press a key combination such as: Alt-Control-F2 .

Is this possible?
So if the interface crashes, that I can type in: halt.

Thanks

As far as I know, that's not possible. You might want to try a program called "escapepod" (do a search for that word at Versiontracker). It may help you log out and back in when that happens instead of having to reboot.
