Hi all,

I was an iPhone user from the 4g through the 6s after my BlackBerry years. Aw.. BBM.

Anyway, I am thinking of moving back into iOS as I just miss the general connectedness that it gives in the "ecosystem". Practically every other device in our home is Apple - 2 apple TV's, iMac, iPads.. it goes on and on. Productivity wise it makes sense for me too - calendar, reminders, tasks, iCloud etc.

Just wondering: Should I go to the iPhone 11 NOW or wait until November when the iPhone 12 ships. Rumors of the OLED displays and obvious spec bumps are keeping me from going to the store now.

There is always going to be a new product being released. Trying to wait for something new to have the latest and greatest is an exercise in futility. The latest and greatest only last a moment in time before the next latest and greatest is rumored and then released.

If you want or need a iPhone, get one. There is no need to wait, unless you want to play the futile game mentioned, which many here do.

I never understand why anyone want as wait or buy question. No one knows what you need or what you want. It is entirely your decision and it is not like Google is not around.

Thanks everyone - big reason for the switch would be the price. I can't justify $1,000 phones which is why the 11 really caught my eye. It's part of the reason I went to OnePlus to begin with - but even they are getting high in price. Going to wait until the new phones are released and sludge through the beginning of the fall.

I totally agree with you and I'm not usually that type of person. I generally use my tech for a long time - I would use my mac products longer (non phone) if they were more upgradeable.

Thanks for the help bud. Have a great day.

Well. Oneplus just released OnePlus Nord. It is pretty well speced phone if you ask me.

Beside iPhone 11 and SE, I also have Motorola Moto G Power, Motorola Moto E and Huawei P40. To be honest, I don't really find much difference in terms of day to day usages. Note, I don't game not I don't really care about camera. As long as phone can reasonably well taking pictures of my infant, I am good.

I am saying, Oneplus Nord is pretty reasonablely priced phone, if you ask me.

I half agree. To me the key is “want” vs “need.” If you have something that works for now, then wait a month and get a better phone for the same price or the same phone for a lower price. There’s nothing wrong with trying to get more value for your money. Now if you “need” a phone (or whatever device) because the one you have isn’t doing what you need it to do, then buy now and don’t worry about what’s coming soon.

Thanks a lot for this - I totally agree with you. I'm going to see how I feel in a few days. Much appreciated.

Hey man, the Nord is awesome - you're right! Part of my original desire is to get back into the apple ecosystem that is everywhere in our house.
