Hi!
I have a 2006 macbook 2 GHz, upgraded to 4 gb ram and 160 HDD.
I don't feel like i have enough space so i decided to purchase a new harddrive and decided a 500 GB would do me just fine 🙂
Though, i have all my data on this harddrive. I was thinking on making a full disk Time Machine copy of my disk and then restoring the new harddisk with that copy. But i don't know where to place that copy, since it is like 130 GB which is quite a big archive.
Does anyone have some tips, or have anyone been in the same situation?

Thanks in advance,
Rasmus Schaal

You could always purchase an external drive, create your TM backup, restore from the backup onto your new 500GB HDD then jsut use the external for TM backups for your new drive.
