Hi all,

I work in a University environment that is all Wintel. I've used Macs for years, but been out of the loop since 10.1 and need a bit of help. I need to know that if I pick up a mac to use in our system it won't make me a second class citizen as I need to be more productive not less...

Are there any issues with the built in SAMBA and getting to my shared and network files?

I know I can use the MSFT's remote software to get to my accounting system that lives on a unix backend (I stopped at the local Apple store and logged in from there on a test unit....)

Network printers issues?--Konica, HP, etc.

Entourage is full Outlook client? Really? No issues?

Thanks for any help....if it all works out maybe we'll someday be 5000 macs and one wintel instead of the other way around....

Entourage connects to our Exchange 2000 Server just fine. Calendaring and all is great. The only issue I have is getting to the Global Address List. You can query the directory, but it's a little cumbersome.

I've never used a Konica printer before, but see if Konica's website has 10.x drivers for it.

As for samba, I'm connecting to several Windows 2000/2003 shares with no problems, unless they have spaces in the share name.
