    I have a short 15sec flash clip in my HTML site. I want the video to switch out to an image once the video is complete. Can this be done in html? Also can you make a seperate link on the page to refresh just the video? Thanks

    if you wanna go flash vid to static html embedded image, you might have success with dhtml or css layers.

    otherwise, and more simply, you can end your FLA with a still image and a simple stop();

    Greener places than I used to live

    Sorry I don't have any help for you, but I just perused your new site. Is it still in progress, design wise? I'm asking because I really liked your previous design (was relieved to see you still had it in tact). Take this as a well-meaning critique/compliment:

    I felt the old one was more interesting and professional feeling. I just am not as inspired by the new design, and their are aspects of it that just don't seem polished, like the big, solid content box that takes up most of the page. It is like it is in the way, and I really want to see what sort of background fun you have going on...

    Not trying to be a downer, just want to push you to not settle.

    A commercial solution to look into:

    Might want to look into buying Moyea Flash Video MX 4 which allows specifying start/stop frame which combined with appending a graphic image should solve your first request. Their support web page also notes you may add Cue Points and SWF Action scripts to trigger particular events when playing the files (i.e. show a "restart" button only after the player stops).
