Yes, security updates are pushed through monthly by certain manufacturers. I am not talking about big OS updates.



Why does it matter how old? My point was that it was functioning just fine.

My point is Android devices don't last nearly as long. You'll see people still using iPhone 5s and iPad 2s.

I concur with this. That's one of the benefits With Apple products, they have longevity and last long past their life span. The hardware is just built really well.

My wife has an android - it gets updates all the time and each update screws something up. She hates it and can't wait until she can get rid of it (paid off)
