The frustration just won't end 🙁
I've looked all over the place, and I still can't find out how get my PowerBook to display 1366x768.
I found a utility called switchres X, but I have absolutely no idea how to use it, it has a bunch of parameters that I have no clue about. I read the faq about it, but it expects me to know a bunch of little details about my TV the were never mentioned anywhere (Such as the sync, front porch, etc...)
I am so lost 😕
This is all I know about my HDTV:
Polaroid 32" @ 1366x768 and it has DVI input.
My PowerBook is rev. D (17" @ 1440x900)
I tried to use the same settings that some people used for their Mac mini, and it didn't work. Apparently there's different settings for different video cards.
I recently went to best buy, and I noticed that A LOT of TVs ran at 1366x768, and that its pretty common resolution. It just boggles my head because my PowerBook just won't cooperate 😡
I really hope someone out here will help me on this one. Hopefully some of you have an HDTV connected to their Mac. For those who do, please share 😱
