So lately my late 2009 macbook pro battery is so swollen that i can barely click my trackpad since the battery is located directly under the trackpad. Anyone have any suggestions on where to purchase a replacement or how I can maybe shrink the battery down a bit?

^This...You DO NOT want to mess with (use) a swollen li-ion battery! Take it to an Apple store...i would suggest not using it until then.

I agree with miles01110 (as usual!). Have Apple replace that battery as soon as possible, before it damages your MBP. Don't wait.

They probably won't charge you for it either.

If you dont have it fixed soon then it could cause more damage to the internals of your Macbook Pro and it could leak battery acid which would destroy your computer and could cause harm to you!

My battery swelled on a 2006 MPB. Apple store shipped a replacement out-of-warranty.
