swollen battery

Got a Macbook. Had it since feb. 2007.

Battery has swollen a little over the last month-ish.

Any ideas?

Call AppleCare and see what they tell you, or take it in to the Genius Bar if there is an Apple Store near you.

that happened to me and my mb was way out of warranty


took it in, told them my battery was bulging and wanted to buy a new one. They wouldnt let me buy a new one but gave me one for free as a replacement upon seeing the swollen batt

I was rather shocked in a good way

Take it in, worth a shot

If you bought AppleCare, then you should still be covered by warranty, call Apple and see what they say.

Ah, b'cuz there was a recall on batteries from then that was "closed" in May of this year May be SOL.

Will call the store tomorrow.

id take it in if possible over calling about it
