Wasn't there some rumor about them developing a prototype for Apple that Apple asked them to not distribute in the jailbreak community? Hopefully iOS 5 has it baked in.

I don't remember seeing that rumor.

Do you have a source? If it's true that would be awesome.

There was a Swype-like app in the App Store, which got removed, but you can still install it if you have AppSync. It's called Shapewriter. It's obviously not the same as a system-wide keyboard, but it's something if you really want it.

i think its because the keyboards are run app specifically. So you couldnt change them all.

would love something like this on my phone! i've owned an iphone for years & still find it ****ing annoying to type on
