Yes, Apple's Visual Team does a very fine job at what they do. They update the store either at night or day.

So why be shocked at no backlit for black. Wait to see how complaining it becomes for the gamer in the dark that can't see their keys.

Are you kidding? A gamer wouldn't even spit in the direction of a low-end macbook. They would barely even consider a mac as their computer.

I went in early this morning to the Apple Store in Glasgow to buy the new MacBook. Opens at 9am and i was there at 9.50am. Walked up to one of the employees:

Me - "Hi, I would like to buy the new MacBook please."

Rep - "Um, have you booked a personal shopping session?"

Me - "No I just thought I would buy one seeing as I'm like the only guy here."

Rep - "Well we aren't selling them to just anyone, unless you have an appointment I can't sell you one."

Me - "Hang on, so you have them in stock?"

Rep - "Yeah, about 40 units."

Me - "So why can't I buy one, I've got cash on me now?"

Rep - "Cos we can't sell them to anyone like I said, I can book you an appointment for early next week"

Me - "Nah mate, just forget it. If you don't want my money I'll just go and buy a PC"

I've waited since June for a MacBook and to be treated like a piece of dirt by those guys is unforgivable. Thank you Apple for the iPhone but I won't be buying any more products from you if your gonna treat people like this!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

That's the Apple Store I frequently visit. Your experience sounds terrible. Did they give you a reason why you have to book appointments now? Maybe it's because they have limited stock?

That's idiotic! How can that be store policy? How does that even make sense? I'm sorry you had such a ridiculous experience. Maybe the guy was 'new'...?

The Sydney store actually has huge 3 story curtain (stored in a HUGE wall closet they can pull across the front when they are updating the store. Most of the employees don't even know about it. I am yet to see it since the openning week (testing) but I can see the store from my apartment so as soon as they do I'll post a picture.
