Is there a way to configure iTunes, so that it will sync two iPhones with the same exact setting and content (contact, email, bookmarks, ...)?
I need to have one iPhone ready at all times for backup.
Or, is there any other easy way to identically sync two iPhone. I need to sync several times a day.
I know, I could back up one iPhone with the backup of the other, but this is complicated in the long run.
Thanks for any feedback.

itunes seems to do it by default.

The wife an I each have iphones and they both sync to the apps I've downloaded.
I don't understand how it happened but now when I update apps on my wife's iphone the phone prompts me for my app store account/password.:confused:
We want separate apps, music etc. but how to separate the to on itunes is
not apparent (nice job apple developers). The up side is she got my paid apps
for free, sorry app developers, talk to apple.

For your question swissman, I'd try syncing your first phone then plug in your
second and sync again and see if they are both the same.

If not send me a post on how you did it. :)

Hey cliff, you didn't mention if you have a PC or Mac. On my mac I hold down the option button while starting iTunes and it prompts to start another library. I separate my iPhone and classic this way.

Thanks cliffboley,

If for example your wife adds a new contact on her iPhone, will you then automatically also have on yours after you sync both phones?
That would be exactly what I need. Lets swap phones. (-:
