Sync Audiobooks to iPhone

Has anyone successfully synced any audiobooks to their iPhone?

In Finder - iPhone - Audiobooks section, I can see two of my AudioBooks. However, pressing sync does nothing to actually sync them to the iPhone.

The books play fine in the Books app on macOS Catalina.

Edit: It took several attempts of plugging and unplugging to make it work.
