Sync .avi with .srt subs

Is there a way to sync .avi files with .srt subs?

The movie is 1-2 secs ahead of the subs... I can't sunc them using VLC... Is there a way OR another player that could make it hapen? 😕

MPlayer has a sub delay feature. Try loading the movie in mplayer and then using the Z and X keys to adjust the sub delay, see if that helps.
