Sync cradle/Dock?

Ok im new here so bear with me if this has already been covered
I have an old 2003 ipod dock connector, and i was wondering if my 3gs will work with it without frying itself like those old bose sound docks?

P.S. Im using Usb not firewire.

I think if it fits then yes. However, I think the iPhone is a big to think for them. But I recall you can take out the iPod specific holder and then sue it like that.

Yeah thats it. Because it fits all the ipods me and my friends have tried, and my sisters mini

Firewire won't work with iPods from the past several years, much less the iPhones...
Sounds like you have a nice stand, but you won't really be able to do anything with it.
