Sync Error: Outlook to iPhone

🙁Help. I got an iphone a few months ago & all has been good until the last time I tried to sync a couple weeks ago. My Outlook calendar will not sync to the iphone. I get the following error:
"itunes could not sync calendars to the iphone "Bea's iphone" because the sync server failed to sync the iphone"

I have not idea what this means. I have not changed anything so I don't understand. I have no idea what to do so would appreciate help from anyone who has experience this iphone sync issue or just knows how to resolve.
